Our Story
In 1978, from small and humble beginnings, passing out paper towels and toilet tissue to the marginalized and homeless, raising up families through faith and perseverance, Pastor Johnny R. King, raised by a single mother in obscurity, and his wife Rose King, who grew up alongside five sisters in foster care, founded Christian Outreach Center of Fort Worth.
What began as a local church has grown into a multigenerational ministry. For nearly five decades, COC has touched thousands with God's love, restored families, and strengthened communities through faith, service, and compassion.
Carrying the Legacy Forward Today, their son J. King and his wife Erika continue the mission with a fresh, future-focused vision. From Texas to the nations, our heart is to raise Christ-centered believers who are Spirit-driven, walking in love, kindness, leadership, and connection, and making a lasting impact across the globe.
Our Heartbeat
COC is more than a church; it’s a movement of love, kindness, and family. Here, God’s love transforms lives, ignites purpose, and builds a legacy that endures from generation to generation.
