Why We at COC Speak on Love So Much

At Christian Outreach Center there are many subjects we could teach on faith, prayer, purpose, leadership, discipline, growth, and spiritual maturity. All of those matter. But one subject we return to again and again is this:

How we treat people matters deeply to God.

Some may wonder why we emphasize it so often. The answer is simple: because this is an area that pleases God, reflects His heart, and opens some of the most incredible doors a person can imagine.

Love for God Must Show Up in Love for People

It is easy to say we love Jesus. It is easy to worship, quote scripture, and talk about faith. But real spiritual maturity is often revealed in how we treat others.

How do we respond when someone is difficult?
How do we treat people who cannot benefit us?
How do we handle those who are hurting, overlooked, or different from us?
How do we speak when no spotlight is on us?

These moments reveal more than words ever can.

Jesus connected loving God with loving people in Matthew 22, He did not separate devotion to God from compassion toward others.

In John 13:34, 35, Jesus said:

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

This means love is not optional for the believer it is a command and a calling. We are not only told to love, but to love with the same spirit Christ showed toward us.

Why This Pleases God

God is love. When we choose kindness, patience, mercy, generosity, forgiveness, and compassion, we are walking in ways that reflect His nature.

Every act of genuine love says:
    •    God, we value what You value
    •    God, we see people through Your eyes
    •    God, we want our lives to carry Your character

This is why loving people is not a side lesson. It is central to spiritual life.

Why It Opens Incredible Doors

Many people pray for doors to open while ignoring the character that often unlocks them.

Love opens doors that talent alone cannot open.
Kindness opens doors credentials cannot reach.
Honor opens doors force cannot move.
Integrity opens doors manipulation can never sustain.

People remember how you made them feel. Opportunities often flow through relationships. Favor often travels through trust. Influence grows where love is genuine.

The right spirit can take a person where skill by itself never could.

    •    Ministry opportunities
    •    Healing conversations
    •    Unexpected favor
    •    Peace in your own heart
    •    Influence with people who matter
    •    Access to rooms where character is valued

Why We Keep Preaching It

Because we have seen gifted people blocked by pride.
We have seen talented people delayed by bitterness.
We have seen doors close because of ego.
And we have seen humble, loving people walk into favor that seemed impossible.

So yes, we speak on this often.

Not because it sounds nice.
Not because it is popular.
But because it is powerful.

Final Thought

If you want to grow spiritually, do not only ask how much scripture you know. Ask how well you love people.
