When God Works Through People

One of the greatest truths to understand is that God often works through people. He comforts through people. He encourages through people. He provides through people. He restores through people. Many times, the answer to someone’s prayer comes through a person willing to be used by God.

This is why learning to value people from the heart is so important.

Not with eye service
Not only when someone is watching
Not as men pleasers trying to impress others

But as servants of God, doing His will from the heart.

Ephesians 6:6 says, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

The Self Existent God and His Image

The divine name often connected to the Tetragrammaton points to a powerful truth about God: He is self existent. He is uncreated. He depends on nothing outside of Himself for life, power, wisdom, or being.

God was not made. God was not formed. God did not begin.

Because He is complete in Himself, His desire is not to become something greater. His desire is to express His nature and glory through what He has created.

That is why humanity matters so much.

Genesis 1:26 says, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion…

Humanity was created to reflect God’s character in the earth and to function in delegated authority. Even though God can move sovereignly in any way He chooses, one of His primary patterns is to work through people who align with His heart and purpose.

He governs through willing vessels.
He loves through surrendered hearts.
He serves through obedient hands.

The Heart Requires Work

Having a good heart takes real work.

Many people spend years working on careers, building businesses, fixing their hair, doing their nails, upgrading cars, planning vacations, earning degrees, and finishing dissertations. None of those things are wrong. But while working on outward success, it is easy to neglect the inner life.

A heart does not stay healthy by accident. It must be guarded, examined, softened, corrected, and renewed.

Proverbs 4:23 says, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Everything flows from the heart
Your attitude
Your words
Your relationships
Your response to pressure
Your ability to love others

A Small Story of How God Works Through People

A woman once prayed quietly about her rent being due. She told no one and carried the burden alone. Later that day, someone felt led to call her, encourage her, and bring exactly what was needed to help.

Was it God or was it a person?

It was God working through a person.

This is how heaven often touches earth. God moves through people who have cultivated a heart sensitive enough to hear and obedient enough to act.

Learning to Walk in Dominion

Dominion is not control rooted in pride. It is stewardship rooted in alignment with God.

It means bringing order where there is chaos.
It means bringing love where there is pain.
It means bringing wisdom where there is confusion.
It means representing God well in everyday life.

The more the heart is healed and shaped by God, the more safely a person can carry influence and responsibility.

Final Thought

It is possible to have a polished life and an undeveloped heart. It is possible to look successful outwardly while neglecting the part of you that matters most.

So build your future. Grow your skills. Pursue excellence.

But do not forget to work on your heart.

Because when the heart is right, God can work through you to bless people, reveal His nature, and bring His kingdom into the earth.
