Seeing Beyond the Natural to Discern What God Is Revealing

There are moments when God is not withholding the blessing,
He is removing what has been blocking it.

Sometimes the right people are already assigned to your life. The helpers, mentors, partners, supporters, and divine connections may already be near you, but something has prevented them from recognizing the value, purpose, and assignment God has placed upon your life.

That is why many of us pray:

“Father, tear away every veil that is preventing my helpers from seeing me.”

But there is another prayer that is just as important:

“Father, tear away every veil that is preventing me from seeing the people You have already sent into my life.”

Many times, the answer to our prayer is standing right in front of us, but our own perception is clouded.

A veil can be pride.

A veil can be fear.

A veil can be offense.

A veil can be familiarity.

A veil can be distraction.

A veil can even be a mindset that keeps us from recognizing what God is doing.

When God removes the veil, recognition comes.

People begin to see what they could not see before.

And we begin to recognize what we could not recognize before.

Doors begin to open.

Relationships begin to align.

Resources begin to move.

Favor begins to speak.

The Bible says,

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Luke 2:52 (NKJV)

Jesus grew in favor with God and with people. That reminds us that the Kingdom touches both worlds the spiritual and the natural.

God often chooses to answer spiritual prayers through natural relationships…

Touching Two Worlds

One of the greatest truths in Scripture is that the Kingdom of God always integrates the spiritual with the natural.

What begins in the unseen eventually becomes visible.

Faith begins in the heart.

Obedience reveals faith.

Love begins in the spirit.

Kindness makes love visible.

Humility begins within.

Serving others demonstrates humility.

This is why Jesus said,

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven…”
Matthew 16:19 (NKJV)

Notice Jesus said keys—plural.

The Kingdom doesn’t operate by one principle.

It operates through many keys working together.

Faith.

Prayer.

Humility.

Wisdom.

Love.

Integrity.

Stewardship.

Obedience.

These spiritual realities eventually become natural expressions that people can see.

The Veil Begins with the Eyes and Ears

Every veil begins with the physical body.

It begins with the eyes and the ears because these are the gateways through which information enters our lives.

Everything we believe first enters through what we see or what we hear.

But seeing is not the same as perceiving.

Hearing is not the same as understanding.

Jesus repeatedly taught this truth.

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Matthew 11:15 (NKJV)

Everyone listening had physical ears.

Jesus wasn’t speaking about hearing sounds.

He was speaking about how they listened.

Paul prayed,

”…that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”
Ephesians 1:18 (NKJV)

Paul wasn’t praying for better eyesight.

He was praying for spiritual perception.

The veil begins at the eyes and ears.

But it doesn’t end there.

The Heart Chooses What It Will Receive

After information enters through the eyes and ears, the heart decides what it will embrace.

The same words can produce completely different outcomes in two different people.

Two people hear the same sermon.

One leaves encouraged.

The other leaves offended.

Two people receive correction.

One hears wisdom.

The other hears rejection.

Two people experience the same trial.

One sees God’s preparation.

The other sees only pain.

The information didn’t change.

The heart did.

Jesus illustrated this in the Parable of the Sower.

The seed was always good.

The difference was the condition of the soil.

“But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”
Luke 8:15 (NKJV)

The heart determines the harvest.

This is why two people can witness the same miracle and reach completely different conclusions.

One says, “God is moving.”

Another says, “That’s just coincidence.”

One sees an opportunity.

Another sees a problem.

One hears truth.

Another hears offense.

The veil changes perception before it changes behavior.

Your Attitude Is a Kingdom Key

One of the greatest Kingdom keys is your attitude.

Your attitude determines how you see people.

Your attitude determines how you hear correction.

Your attitude determines how you respond to opportunities.

Your attitude opens doors or shuts them.

Your pride closes doors.

Your humility opens doors.

James reminds us,

“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:6 (NKJV)

Many people pray for open doors while carrying attitudes that keep those very doors closed.

If you want favor, walk in humility.

If you want influence, serve.

If you want promotion, remain teachable.

If you want helpers, become someone they are excited to help.

Humility is spiritual because it begins in the heart.

Serving is natural because people can see it.

Faith is invisible.

Obedience makes faith visible.

This is what it means to touch two worlds.

Lord, Remove Every Veil

Today our prayer is twofold.

Father, tear away every veil that keeps my God-ordained helpers from recognizing me.

And Father, tear away every veil from my own eyes, ears, and heart so I can recognize the people, opportunities, and assignments You have already placed before me.

Give me eyes that truly see.

Give me ears that truly hear.

Give me a humble heart that receives Your truth.

Help me walk in the keys of Your Kingdom every day.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, remove every veil from my life. Tear away every veil from my eyes so I may see what You are showing me. Tear away every veil from my ears so I may hear Your voice above every distraction. Remove every veil from my heart so I will receive truth with humility and reject pride, offense, fear, and unbelief. Give me favor with You and with people. Help me recognize the divine relationships You have already placed in my life, and prepare me to steward every opportunity You send. May my faith become visible through my love, my humility, my kindness, and my obedience. Let my life touch both worlds the spiritual and the natural for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When God tears away every veil, may He find us ready to see clearly, hear wisely, walk humbly, and live faithfully.
