Letting God’s Love Become Tangible
“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:35 (NKJV)
Love was never meant to remain an idea.
It was never meant to stay hidden in our hearts or confined to the pages of Scripture.
God’s love was always intended to become tangible.
Throughout the Bible, God’s love is revealed not only through words but through action. He clothed Adam and Eve after they sinned. He fed Israel in the wilderness. He defended the oppressed. Ultimately, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, not merely to speak about love, but to embody it.
Jesus touched lepers when others kept their distance.
He welcomed children when others pushed them away.
He ate with sinners when others rejected them.
He wept with those who were grieving.
He washed the feet of His disciples.
Every miracle, every conversation, every act of compassion made the invisible love of God visible.
Love became tangible.
Love Has Hands and Feet
The world doesn’t simply need another message about love. It needs to experience it.
“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 (NKJV)
Love becomes tangible when we pray for someone instead of walking away.
Love becomes tangible when we forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it.
Love becomes tangible when we visit the lonely, encourage the discouraged, feed the hungry, listen without judgment, or give generously without expecting anything in return.
These moments may seem small, but they reveal the heart of God.
We Become the Hands and Feet of Jesus
The Church is called to reveal Christ to the world.
People cannot physically see Jesus today, but they can experience Him through His people.
Every act of kindness…
Every word of encouragement…
Every meal shared…
Every prayer offered…
Every burden carried…
Becomes a visible expression of God’s invisible love.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
We were not only saved from something we were saved for something. God has prepared opportunities every day for us to display His love through acts of service.
Love Changes Communities
One genuine act of love can change a family.
One family can influence a neighborhood.
One neighborhood can impact an entire city.
Imagine what would happen if every believer intentionally looked for someone to love each day.
Imagine if kindness became contagious.
Imagine if forgiveness spread faster than offense.
Imagine if generosity became our culture.
This is how the Kingdom of God advances not merely through sermons, but through transformed people who live like Jesus.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Our prayer at Christian Outreach Center is simple:
Lord, let Your love become tangible through us.
May Forest Hill experience Your love.
May our neighbors experience Your kindness.
May families experience Your compassion.
May every person who crosses our path encounter Jesus not only through what we say, but through how we live.
When God’s people make His love visible, heaven touches earth.
And that is how communities are transformed.
