A quick story.
Harland “Colonel” Sanders didn’t win early. Jobs failed. Businesses closed. In his 60s, nearly broke, he had an idea: license his chicken recipe to restaurants for a small fee per sale. He packed his car and drove city to city. He heard no again and again. He kept refining the recipe, the pitch, and the plan until a yes came. One yes became many. That idea grew into what we now know as KFC. Faith moved through an idea, then a step, then another.
Equal Worth. Distinct Ideas.
God made everyone equal in worth and fully loved. That never changes.
What does differ is the ideas He stirs in us. Ideas shape callings, careers, and contributions. A person can be a police officer, teacher, basketball player, or doctor each path is an idea at work. Different roles, same value.
Ideas: The Doorway Faith Walks Through
Faith is released through ideas because ideas are pictures of what could be. When we trust God, He often answers with a pattern, a plan, or a next step an idea you can act on.
- An idea turns prayer into a plan.
- A plan turns belief into motion.
- Motion turns faith into fruit.
Ignoring the natural steps your idea requires can keep you from the spiritual outcome you’re praying for.
Every Profession Carries an Idea
- Police officer: order and protection
- Teacher: unlocking potential
- Athlete: discipline, teamwork, excellence
- Doctor/Nurse: healing and service
- Entrepreneur/Artist: creating value that didn’t exist before
Your job is more than a paycheck. It’s a living idea that blesses people when done unto the Lord.
How Faith Flows Through Your Ideas
- Receive - Ask God for wisdom. Notice the small sparks. God often whispers strategy before He shows success.
- Refine - Write it. Simplify it. Name the first two steps.
- Release - Speak it, schedule it, and take the next right step today.
- Review-Measure fruit. Adjust. Keep learning.
- Repeat-Steady beats flashy. Faith grows with faithful follow-through.
Guarding and Growing Your Idea
- Stay humble. Teachability keeps ideas alive.
- Invite counsel. The right voices sharpen vision.
- Start small. Big doors swing on small hinges.
- Stay clean. Character carries what creativity creates.
- Aim to serve. The best ideas lift people.

Reflection
- What idea keeps returning to your heart?
- What two small steps can you schedule this week?
- Who are the two wise people you’ll ask to review it?
A Simple Prayer
Father, thank You that I am fully loved and equal in worth before You. Renew my mind. Breathe on the ideas You’ve placed in me. Show me the next step, give me courage to act, and let my work serve people and glorify Jesus. Amen.
