Forbidden Knowledge, Fallen Realms, and the Infinite World Beyond Human Understanding
Eternity Is Vast Beyond Human Comprehension
One of the greatest limitations of humanity is that we interpret reality almost entirely through material experience.
Everything we know naturally comes through:
• sight
• sound
• touch
• taste
• emotion
• memory
• physical interaction
Our brains record information through natural stimulus.
We understand reality through matter.
But the Bible reveals something staggering:
The material universe is not the highest reality.
It is the lower realm.
The visible world is only a temporary expression of a far greater invisible existence that preceded time, matter, stars, planets, biology, and human civilization itself.
Before:
• atoms existed
• galaxies formed
• light traveled through space
• humanity breathed
• earth rotated
there was already:
• eternity
• intelligence
• heavenly order
• divine government
• angelic beings
• worship
• rebellion
• knowledge
• consciousness
Knowledge did not begin on earth.
Knowledge existed before creation itself.
The human mind struggles to process this because we are trapped inside linear time.
We think in:
• seconds
• years
• beginnings
• endings
• movement
• aging
• death
But eternity is not simply “a very long time.”
Eternity is existence outside the limitations of time altogether.
The material world is measurable.
Eternity is immeasurable.
The material world is temporary.
Eternity is uncreated.
The material world decays.
Eternity does not age.
This is why Scripture constantly points humanity beyond physical reality.
The Unseen Realm Is Greater Than The Physical Universe
Paul writes:
“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV
Modern civilization worships the visible:
• money
• science
• bodies
• politics
• fame
• technology
• material success
But Scripture says the unseen realm is actually the more permanent reality.
The visible universe itself is temporary.
Stars die.
Galaxies collapse.
Bodies decay.
Civilizations disappear.
But the invisible realm continues.
Hebrews says:
“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Hebrews 11:3 NKJV
This is profound.
The visible universe emerged from an invisible source.
Matter itself came from realities beyond physical observation.
Science studies creation.
But Scripture points beyond creation itself.
Human Consciousness Is Tiny Compared To Eternity
Humanity often overestimates its own understanding.
Our minds are incredibly limited compared to the vastness of eternity.
We cannot even fully comprehend:
• infinity
• timeless existence
• multidimensional reality
• consciousness outside biology
• uncreated intelligence
• existence without physical limitation
Even our language fails when trying to describe eternal realities.
This is why prophets used symbolic imagery:
• wheels within wheels
• thrones of fire
• living creatures
• clouds of glory
• heavenly temples
• rivers of crystal
• beasts
• stars falling from heaven
Human vocabulary collapses when attempting to describe eternal realities.
Paul himself said:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
This verse is deeper than most people realize.
Paul is not merely talking about heaven after death.
He is revealing that the eternal realm contains realities the human mind currently lacks the capacity to fully interpret.
Our brains process information through:
• light
• sound
• electrical signals
• memory patterns
• sensory experience
But eternity is not dependent upon physical stimulus.
The spiritual realm existed before:
• biological life
• human language
• nervous systems
• atoms
• stars
• time itself
This means there are forms of intelligence, awareness, and existence beyond what humanity naturally understands.
The Bible constantly hints at realities that stretch beyond material comprehension.
Ezekiel saw:
• wheels within wheels
• living creatures covered in eyes
• radiant fire
• crystalline expanses
• beings moving with supernatural precision
Daniel encountered beings so overwhelming that physical strength left his body.
John fell as dead when he encountered the glorified Christ in Revelation.
These encounters reveal something important:
when finite minds encounter eternal realities, human language begins to collapse.
This is why prophetic visions often sound symbolic, strange, or beyond ordinary comprehension.
The prophets were attempting to describe eternal realities using earthly vocabulary.
The Knowledge of Heaven and the Rebellion of Lucifer
Scripture suggests that knowledge existed in heavenly realms before humanity was created.
Lucifer himself is described in Ezekiel 28 as being:
• full of wisdom
• perfect in beauty
• associated with precious stones
• connected to heavenly glory
“You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.”
Ezekiel 28:12 NKJV
This is profound because it suggests corruption did not begin with ignorance.
It began with intelligence disconnected from submission to God.
Lucifer possessed brilliance.
Wisdom.
Beauty.
Access.
Influence.
But knowledge without humility became rebellion.
This may be the true danger of forbidden knowledge.
Forbidden knowledge is not merely hidden information.
It is power pursued outside of divine order.
The Fall Happened Before Humanity Fully Understood Evil
Many believers never stop to think about this:
The serpent already existed before Adam and Eve fell.
Meaning rebellion had already occurred somewhere in eternity before humanity entered the story.
Jesus said:
“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”
Luke 10:18 NKJV
Hell itself was prepared:
“for the devil and his angels.”
Matthew 25:41 NKJV
This means there was already:
• heavenly conflict
• rebellion
• corruption
• judgment
• spiritual warfare
before mankind ate from the tree.
Evil invaded humanity from an already fallen spiritual rebellion.
The Watchers and the Expansion of Corruption
Genesis 6 appears to describe another escalation of rebellion in the unseen realm.
Not only had humanity already fallen through Adam…
but now heavenly beings themselves appear to cross boundaries established by God.
Ancient Jewish traditions describe these beings as “Watchers” — heavenly entities assigned to observe creation, yet some became consumed with forbidden desire, power, and influence over humanity.
According to these traditions, the Watchers introduced mankind to forbidden knowledge:
• warfare
• weapon creation
• sorcery
• enchantments
• astrology
• manipulation
• occult practices
• advanced technologies
• corruption of human behavior
Whether every detail of those ancient writings is literal or symbolic, the biblical pattern itself is undeniable:
Knowledge disconnected from God produces corruption.
Genesis says:
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.”
Genesis 6:11 NKJV
Notice the connection:
• forbidden knowledge
• spiritual rebellion
• violence
• corruption
• moral collapse
All linked together.
The deeper implication is frightening.
Humanity was never designed to carry knowledge without wisdom, power without righteousness, or intelligence without submission to God.
Lucifer himself proves this.
Ezekiel describes him as:
• full of wisdom
• perfect in beauty
• radiant in glory
Yet pride corrupted him.
This reveals something profound:
intelligence alone does not produce holiness.
Knowledge can elevate civilization technologically while destroying it spiritually.
In many ways, modern humanity is repeating the same ancient pattern.
Today we possess:
• artificial intelligence
• genetic engineering
• psychological manipulation
• nuclear weapons
• digital surveillance
• technological systems beyond anything previous civilizations imagined
Yet at the same time:
• depression rises
• violence increases
• morality collapses
• confusion spreads
• identity fractures
• spiritual darkness expands
Advancement without wisdom becomes dangerous.
The Bible repeatedly warns that civilizations collapse when knowledge outruns righteousness.
This may be one of the deepest lessons hidden inside Genesis 6.
The issue was never merely angels, giants, or mysterious beings.
The issue was rebellion against divine order itself.
The moment created beings pursue power independently from God, corruption expands.
That pattern began before the flood…
and it still continues today.
Evil Entered Humanity Through a Person, Not Merely an Idea
One of the deepest truths in Scripture is that evil is not merely a psychological concept, a bad thought pattern, or an abstract force floating through the universe.
According to the Bible, evil is connected to personality, rebellion, and spiritual intelligence.
Jesus said concerning Satan:
“He was a murderer from the beginning… for he is a liar and the father of it.”
John 8:44 NKJV
Notice that Christ calls Satan “the father” of lies.
This means evil has origin.
Evil has intention.
Evil has personality.
Evil flows from a rebellious spiritual source.
Satan is not merely symbolic of evil.
He is presented in Scripture as the originating personality through which rebellion, deception, pride, corruption, and spiritual darkness entered creation.
This becomes profound when you understand that eternity makes ideas alive beyond human comprehension.
In the eternal realm, thoughts are not merely mental abstractions the way humans experience them.
Heavenly realities carry:
• intelligence
• will
• consciousness
• spiritual force
• influence
• manifestation
The material world is slower and denser.
But eternity operates on levels humanity barely understands.
This is why Satan’s greatest strategy was never simply creating bad behavior.
He needed access.
He needed embodiment.
Agreement.
Participation through humanity itself.
Romans says:
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin…”
Romans 5:12 NKJV
Notice:
sin entered the world through one man.
Adam became the access point through which spiritual corruption entered material creation.
Satan introduced ideas, rebellion, deception, and independence from God into humanity, and through man those eternal concepts manifested into the physical world:
• violence
• death
• corruption
• lust
• pride
• hatred
• destruction
Human beings were never designed to carry fallen eternity apart from God.
This is why humanity cannot outsmart evil through intellect alone.
No matter how advanced mankind becomes:
• technology cannot cure sin
• science cannot remove corruption
• psychology cannot fully heal the fallen condition
• politics cannot redeem the human heart
Why?
Because humanity is attempting to solve an eternal problem with temporary tools.
The fallen mind cannot fully comprehend the depths of eternity because evil itself originated beyond the material realm.
This is why Scripture presents Jesus not merely as a teacher, but as the eternal High Priest who entered beyond the veil itself.
Hebrews says Christ entered:
“once for all into the Holy Place… having obtained eternal redemption.”
Hebrews 9:12 NKJV
Humanity could never climb high enough intellectually to escape corruption on its own.
We needed someone from eternity itself to enter the human condition, defeat sin, overcome death, and reconnect mankind back to God.
Jesus did what no philosophy, empire, religion, or civilization could ever accomplish.
He entered both:
• eternity
• humanity
And bridged the gap between God and fallen man forever.
