Taste and See
Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 34:8, NIV
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Today’s Word:
When Moses led the Israelites toward the Promised Land, they never went in because they complained and had wrong mind-sets. That generation wandered in the wilderness for forty years, only hearing and dreaming about the land flowing with milk and honey, hoping it would become theirs. But they died without ever seeing it come to pass. Joshua led the next generation that had a different mind-set that took them into the Promised Land. They didn’t just hear about the land of abundance, they conquered and lived in it. They tasted the great clusters of grapes their parents had only seen. Sometimes thoughts will tell you, “What you’re dreaming about will always only be a dream, just a wish and a hope.” The good news is that you are a part of the Joshua generation. You’re not going to just dream the dream; you’re going to live your dream. You’re going to taste the grapes, taste the abundance, taste the healing, and taste the freedom.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You for the invitation to taste and see just how good You are. Thank You that the dream You’ve put in my heart will come to pass and not remain just a dream. I believe I’m a part of the Joshua generation, and You’re taking me into the Promised Land.
In Jesus’ Name,
AMEN!
Protect Your Integrity
Today’s Scripture:
1 Corinthians 15:33, ESV
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
Today’s Word:
All through the Scripture we’re told that we become like the people we’re around. You will catch what they have, so make sure they have what you want. The wrong people will feed you doubt, fear, gossip, and mediocrity. If they compromise your values and are negative and critical, that will rub off on you. Your dreams may be lying dormant because the people around you are telling you what you can’t become. Life is too short to hang out with people who are pulling you down and causing you to compromise.
You have to take bold steps to protect your integrity and future. You may need to change who you’re spending time with and surround yourself with people who are full of faith, who inspire you, who challenge you, who call out the seeds of greatness, who cheer you on and cause you to grow. Then you’re going to step up to a new level and see those dreams come to pass.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You for making it so plain that I need to be selective about whom I surround myself with. Help me to be bold to evaluate and change who I’m spending time with and make sure that my friends are people of faith who challenge and inspire me.
In Jesus’Name,
Amen.”🙏🏾”.
Not “Here” But “There”
Today’s Scripture:
“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”
(Mark 16:6–7, NIV)
Today’s Word:
When Mary Magdalene and two other women went to Jesus’ tomb after His death, an angel said to them, “He is not here. He has risen! He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.” Notice that the angel said, “He is not here. He is there.” The angel was saying, in effect, “I know you’re hurting, but don’t stay here. Something better is waiting for you there.”
In other words, “here” is the disappointment, the bad medical report, the dream that didn’t work out. If you stay “here,” you’ll be discouraged. You have to go “there.” Sometimes the reason God doesn’t comfort us in the “here,” in the disappointment is because He doesn’t want us to stay where we are. “There” is where God is waiting for you. “There” is where the blessing is. The disappointment is simply a season. God has already gone ahead and lined up the next level. Move forward into “there.”
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that You are always going ahead in my life, lining up the next level, and You’re not in the past. Thank You that I don’t have to be stuck in the “here.” I believe that You are waiting for me in the “there” with restoration and blessing.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.”🙏🏾“.
Digitize Your Life In The 21 Century
It’s difficult to survive in this dispensation and age if you don’t understand what God is doing with technology. The sons of Issachar understood the signs of the times, and adjusted accordingly to the time that they lived in.
Yet at times it can feel like we don’t have enough. It seems that each day there’s a new gizmo to wirelessly improve some aspect of our lives, whether it’s a hands-free online search or a new way to watch movies, and be entertained.
Paul said in Ephesians 3:2,3
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you, as I have already written briefly, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In the Greek the word dispensation can refer to period or history, But it actually refers to understanding the age through awareness and detailed administration. Administration is a very important word that many believers don’t like to hear because, it takes the responsibility off of God and it puts the responsibility on the individual or the entity. Administration refers to:
- The process or activity of running personal affairs, business, or organization…
- Detailed Planning, Purpose, and management
- Exercising its governmental duties, and functions of the position
Proverbs 24 -3-4 Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.
Read Books on Your Phone
Don’t have space or the money to accumulate books in your home? You can eliminate the need for physical books by reading e-books. The digital versions of published books are much cheaper and are also readily available. You can download and read an e-book on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Become Paper Free with Apps, Software, and Your Computer
Going paperless means you are completely or near completely eliminating the need to use paper for everyday tasks. For example, instead of leaving written paper memos to a co-worker, you can simply send an email, a Skype message, or message online. There are tons of apps that allow users to take notes on handheld devices without needing paper. You can use e-invoices for business instead of actual paper ones. You can also eliminate the most snail mail you get at home by opting to pay bills online and opting out of junk mail lists. Going paper-free is not only good for your convenience, it also helps save the environment.
Why not take it a step further and digitize your old files and photographs? Either use a scanner to transfer these files onto your PC or laptop or alternatively there are plenty of apps which are able to convert your paper documents into digital versions with a quick snap of the camera on your phone. Be sure to back up your digital files using an external hard drive or compact USB Flash Drive to keep them safe and secure while allowing you to carry them with you at all times.
Technology Is The Revolution Of Consciousness
Over the years, technology has revolutionized our world and daily lives. Technology has created amazing tools and resources, putting useful information at our fingertips. I have built two successful seven figure businesses in my own personal life utilizing technology.
Modern technology has paved the way for multi-functional devices like the smartwatch and the smartphone. Computers are increasingly faster, more portable, and higher-powered than ever before. With all of these revolutions, technology has also made our lives easier, faster, better, and more fun.
In Christian Outreach Center and all over the world, technology has impacted senior’s lives in and out of the home. Technology’s advancements have provided quicker ways to communicate through instant messaging apps, cash app, and social media platforms. Seniors are able to keep in touch with loved ones, while caregivers have new avenues to check in on aging parents or patients. Please open your mind to this new dispensation if you haven’t, It will improve your quality of life immensely!
Your Destiny is Calling
Today’s Scripture:
Luke 1:59–60, NIV
On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.”
Today’s Word:
It’s interesting that when John the Baptist was born, the neighbors and relatives decided his name should be Zechariah, after the father. But even before John was conceived, the angel Gabriel had told Zechariah that his name was John, and he would walk in the spirit and power of Elijah and prepare the people for the Lord.
We all have “theys” in our life. We should take counsel and listen to advice, but you cannot let other people name your future. Sometimes people will try to name you something you’re not. They’ll name you addicted, or average, or not that talented. Don’t let them put limitations on you and convince you that you can’t accomplish your dreams. The principle is: let your heavenly Father name your future. You are who God says you are blessed, strong, talented, prosperous, forgiven, and healthy. God is telling you what you can become. Your destiny is calling. You have to believe it, then you’ll see it.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that You put a promise and dream in my heart. Thank You for calling me to my destiny. I’m not going to be moved by who’s not cheering me on. I know You being for me is more than enough to get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.”🙏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙏🏾”.
Peace Stealers
Today’s Scripture:
Hebrews 4:11, AMP
Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves].
Today’s Word:
“The rest of God” in today’s Scripture is a place where we know God is in control. But here’s the key: once you enter that rest, you’re not automatically going to stay there. Life is full of peace stealers. If you watch the news twenty-four hours a day, you will live worried, fearful, and on edge. If you get on social media and constantly compare yourself to others, you’ll never feel good about who you are because someone else will be more beautiful, more talented, more successful. If you let people dump all their problems on you, they will steal your peace and exhaust you.
There will always be people and circumstances trying to pull you out of God’s rest. If you’re going to live in peace, you have to put some boundaries up and be careful about what you feed your inner person encouraging things that build you up and cause you to be positive, hopeful, inspired.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that I can make it my top priority to feed on Your Word and be built up with Your truth. Show me where I need to put up boundaries from anyone or anything that steals my peace. Keep me free from comparing myself to others In Jesus’ Name,
Be An Open Book
Today’s Scripture:
Mark 9:23–24, NKJV
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Today’s Word:
When the father in today’s Scripture cried out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” he was being honest and vulnerable. Jesus could have said, “Sorry, but you have doubts.” But when you’re honest with God and get down to the real you the scared you, the lonely you, the insecure you God will begin to change things.
We think that when we have it all together, no fears or doubts or struggles, then we can be honest with God and He will accept us. But God is not waiting for the ideal you, for the future you, for the no-doubts you, for the cleaned-up you. God is waiting for the real you. He has mercy for every mistake, grace for every weakness, and faith for every fear. Our attitude should be, “My life is an open book. God, You know everything I am and everything I’m not. Make me, mold me, and change me where I need to be changed.”
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that You never fault me for being honest about my struggles, my doubts, my weaknesses, and my fears. Thank You that You love me as I am, and You want the real me to come to You. I have nothing to hide. Make me, mold me, and change me.
In Jesus Mighty Name – Amen!
Be Your Best Today
Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 118:24, NLT
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Today’s Word:
When we read about the heroes of faith, their lives seem so exciting, but the truth is that most of their days were routine. Moses experienced one miracle after another, but those involved only a few days of his life. Most of our days will be ordinary days with some exciting days. If you live from big event to big event, waiting for something exciting to keep you encouraged, you’re going to be disappointed.
Learn to enjoy where God has you right now. This is the day the Lord has made. It may be routine, but when you do the ordinary with a good attitude, that’s getting you prepared for the new things God has in store. It’s being faithful day in and day out, doing the right thing when the wrong thing is happening, staying in faith when we’re not getting our way. You won’t be promoted if you’re not being your best where God has you right now.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You for this day that You have made. Thank You that I can be faithful in the ordinary and routine, knowing that You are preparing me for the new things You have in store. I’m going to keep being my best, serving, giving, and loving right where I am.
Failure is an Event
Today’s Scripture:
1 Corinthians 6:11, NIV
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Today’s Word:
In life, we’re all going to have times where we fall, make mistakes, and blow it. But too often, we get our performance mixed up with our identity. You may have failed, but you are not a failure. That’s what you did. Failure is an event. That’s not who you are. You are a child of the Most High God. You’ve been handpicked by the Creator of the universe. God is not judging you by your setbacks. Maybe you’ve blown a relationship, had an addiction, or done something you’re not proud of. Don’t let that become your identity. God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake that you’ve made.
Your sins have already been forgiven. Every mistake you’ve made and ever will make has already been paid in full. The real question is, will you receive God’s mercy? You don’t have to go around feeling guilty, not excited about your future. You are free. You are clean. You are restored.
Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that Your love and forgiveness for me is not based on my performance but upon the fact that I am Your child. Thank You that every mistake I’ve made and ever will make has already been paid in full by Jesus. I believe I am cleansed and free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾”.
